Fair Future Alliance Launches Initiative to Bring Fairness to Public Policy
Washington, D.C. – August 21, 2025 – Today, the Fair Future Alliance announced the launch of its new initiative, Bringing Fairness to Public Policy, a national campaign focused on creating more transparent, equitable, and accountable decision-making across all levels of government.
“Too often, public policies are shaped without the voices of everyday citizens,” said Dr. Michael Harris, Executive Director of the Fair Future Alliance. “Our initiative is designed to ensure that fairness is not an afterthought, but a guiding principle in every debate, budget, and law that impacts our communities.”
The campaign will focus on three core priorities:
1. Access and Transparency – making policy processes clearer and more open to public participation.
2. Equity and Inclusion – ensuring that marginalized and underserved communities are at the center of policy discussions.
3. Accountability and Outcomes – tracking the real-world impact of policies and holding leaders accountable for results.
Over the next year, the Fair Future Alliance will host public forums in ten major cities, release policy toolkits for local leaders, and collaborate with universities to produce nonpartisan research on fairness in policymaking.
“Bringing fairness to public policy means empowering citizens, supporting leaders who listen, and building systems that deliver for everyone, not just the few,” added Harris.
